Welcome to Marl’s Menagerie, home of mystery romance author Marlene Mesot. A menagerie is a collection of animals or things. Here you will find a collection of my writing (fiction novels, short stories and poetry), and my interests: our animals and some family memories in pictures. Please stay to browse. I hope your visit will broaden your personal perspective. I welcome your input through my email contact.
WANTED: I am looking for animal lovers who wish to have their pets remembered in a unique collection of poems, pictures or art work. See my About page for contact information.
I write modern gothic mystery romance with a Christian theme. My family has owned a boarding kennel for dogs and cats in the past and we raise Old English Mastiff dogs. I have some pictures for viewing. There is a short Videography on my About page of my life.
Author Robert Newton Peck said: "Writer's block infects people who know only people like themselves. Love is making the effort to know someone else. It is not training that other being to become more like you." Fiction Is Folks: How To Create Unforgettable Characters, Robert Newton Peck, Writer's Digest Books, Cincinnati OH, ©1983, pp. 186.
I am an advocate for people who are in unique circumstances and challenges in life. You will find unique resources on my links page as well as recommendations for a good read. It is human nature to become interested in an issue only when it affects you or someone you love. This is why it is only you who can decide whether you will accept Jesus or not. No one else can do this for you. I hope my writing will help broaden your perspective of yourself and those with whom you interact.
